Full Vehicle Inspection Report
Also called complete car health report
This is the complete version: road test, electronic scan of all modules, engine assessment, body and paint checks, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, lights, cooling and fluid condition, brought together into one written report with photographs. It suits buyers, sellers wanting documentation, and owners who want a clear picture before a long trip. It records condition and recommends work; carrying out the repairs is a separate decision and a separate job.
Signs you need this
- Buying or selling a car and want documented condition
- Planning a long trip and want the car checked properly
- Several small problems you would rather have assessed together
- Car recently bought and you want to know what you have
- Fleet or company vehicle needing a condition record
Not all of these have to be present, and one of them on its own can mean something else entirely. That is what the diagnosis is for.
What the job includes
- Road test on varied surfaces with cold start observation
- Electronic scan of all modules with freeze frame and readiness data
- Engine, cooling, brake, steering and suspension assessment on a lift
- Paint thickness and panel alignment checks for previous repairs
- Photographed written report grouping items as urgent, soon or monitor
How we do it
Road test first
The car is driven from cold over varied surfaces so noises, vibrations and gearbox behaviour are recorded accurately.
Scan every module
All modules are read, including readiness monitors that show whether fault codes were recently cleared.
Inspect on the lift
Engine, gearbox, cooling, brakes, steering, suspension, exhaust and underbody are inspected with the car raised.
Assess body and paint
Paint thickness, gaps and seams are checked for repair evidence, with photographs of anything notable.
Compile the report
Everything is written up and grouped by urgency, with photographs, and explained to you before you leave.
How we work
The same on every job, which is why we can write it down.
Diagnosis before quote
We find the fault first. A price given over the phone for a noise nobody has heard is a guess.
The price is agreed first
You approve the work and the cost before a spanner is picked up. Extra work means another call.
Parts you can check
We tell you whether a part is genuine, OEM, aftermarket or used, and what each one costs.
Old parts returned
Ask and we will hand back whatever we replaced. It is the simplest proof that the job was done.
