Tire Replacement
Also called new tyre fitting
Tyre replacement fits new tyres to your existing rims, balances each wheel and sets the pressures to the car's specification. It is needed when tread reaches the wear bars, when the rubber has aged and cracked, or after damage that cannot be safely repaired. Fitting new tyres does not correct a pull to one side or uneven wear, which come from alignment or worn suspension parts and need checking separately.
Signs you need this
- Tread level with the wear bars in the main grooves
- Cracks in the sidewall rubber from age and heat
- A bulge or blister on the sidewall
- Tyre losing pressure repeatedly with no repairable puncture
- Date code showing the tyre is around six years old or more
Not all of these have to be present, and one of them on its own can mean something else entirely. That is what the diagnosis is for.

Tyres are mounted with new valves and each wheel is balanced on the machine before it goes back on the car.
Set and torque
Pressures are set to the car's figures and wheel nuts torqued properly, with a reminder to recheck after a week.
