Also called denting work
Dent repair pushes and shapes damaged metal back to its original form, then fills, primes and paints where the paint has cracked or the metal cannot be brought back perfectly. It suits parking knocks, door dings, and creased panels from tight streets and speed bumps. Where the paint is intact and the metal is not stretched, paintless dent removal is usually the better choice, and we will tell you when that applies to your dent.
Signs you need this
- Visible dent or crease in a door, wing or bonnet
- Paint cracked or chipped at the centre of an impact
- Panel gap looks uneven next to the damage
- Door or bonnet edge catching when opening or closing
- Ripples visible along the panel when light reflects across it
Not all of these have to be present, and one of them on its own can mean something else entirely. That is what the diagnosis is for.

- Pulling or pushing the panel back to shape from behind where accessible
- Filling, shaping and sanding any area that cannot be brought fully back
- Priming, colour matching to the paint code and blending into adjacent panels
- Polishing the repaired area so the finish matches the surrounding gloss
How we do it
Assess the damage
We look across the panel under a light board to see the true extent, which is usually larger than it appears.
Reshape the metal
The panel is worked back to profile from behind where there is access, or pulled from the face where there is not.
Fill and prepare
Any remaining low area is filled thinly, shaped and sanded, then primed so the surface is true before paint.
Paint and blend
Colour is mixed to the car's paint code, sprayed and blended into neighbouring panels, then lacquered and polished.
