Fuel Injector Cleaning & Replacement
Also called injector cleaning
Injectors spray a measured mist of fuel into the engine, and deposits distort that spray so cylinders run unevenly. Cleaning on a bench, with flow and spray pattern testing before and after, shows honestly whether each injector recovered. Injectors that fail the test are replaced. This work helps rough idling and misfires caused by injectors; it will not fix misfires from worn spark plugs, coils, low compression or a vacuum leak.
Signs you need this

- Strong petrol smell or black smoke from the exhaust
- Engine runs unevenly after long periods of city driving

How we do it
Read the data
Fault codes and fuel trims are recorded so the injectors are not blamed for an ignition or air leak fault.
Test before cleaning
Each injector is flow tested and its spray pattern photographed so you can see the starting condition.
Clean in ultrasonic bath
Injectors are cleaned in an ultrasonic bath and back-flushed to remove deposits from the pintle and filter.
Retest and decide
Flow is measured again; any injector still outside tolerance is replaced rather than refitted and hoped for.
Refit and road test
New seals are fitted, the engine is run for leaks, and idle quality is confirmed on the road.
